A Swiss virtuoso who has made a name for himself as a master of the Janko piano. Polydor recordings of Walter Rehberg! APR, which has a worldwide reputation for discovering rare sound sources and providing excellent sound quality, has reissued Polydor recordings by Walter Rehberg (1900-1957), a 20th century Swiss pianist who is well known among those in the know! Born in Geneva, Rehberg was a pianist, composer, and music writer, and is counted as one of the most important Swiss musicians of the first half of the 20th century. He made his name in history as a specialist in the Janko piano, a special instrument invented by the Hungarian pianist and mathematician Paul von Janko that caused a boom in Europe at the time of its release. Revived by renowned engineer Ward Marston, the Rebelk pianism of the 1920s and 1930s, enjoy the supreme art bequeathed to Polydor by the 20th century Swiss master pianist in APR's excellent reissue.
