Plategrip RP2 Repair Plate is a belt repair plate for extending the service life of conveyor belts with localized damage, torn sections, worn spots, or soft spots in the belt cover. Packaged in a box of 25 sets with all required hardware. Compatible with Plategrip 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 2, and 2 1/4 Bolt Plate Fasteners.

How repair plates work: Repair plates are installed transversely across the belt (perpendicular to belt direction) to cover damage without creating a full-width splice. Each plate applies clamping pressure across the damaged zone, isolating the weak area and preventing further belt fabric tearing. Repair plates should only be used across the belt, never applied so they travel lengthwise over the pulley.

When to use: Belts with localized tears, cover damage from impact, worn edge sections, or soft spots where the belt carcass has separated. A cost-effective alternative to full belt replacement for belts that are otherwise structurally sound.

Material: Steel plates matching the Plategrip bolt plate fastener system. Use the same installation tools (TK1, TK2, TK3 tool kits) as the matching Plategrip size.
