Time for fun, in this Circus-style striped costume outfit...

This semi-strange dress is made from a super lightweight, semi-sheer fabric featuring lamé (real metallic strips woven into fabric) stripes in shiny silver, flanked by light yellow, pale pink and soft purple stripes. The bodice is sleeveless and has v-style neckline, and is lined with an acetate fabric. The skirt, which is unlined, is gathered neatly into the waistline. The entire neckline, arm holes, skirt hem and belt are all finished with deep purple gelatin sequins. The dress has a side, metal zipper closure and the belt features a row of three snaps. The overall condition is good and wearable (with some care) with many weakened area of the fabric throughout (I have stitched the more major tears and then backed all tears and weak areas with fusible interfacing to stabilize these tears) and two small pink stains under left breast -please see pics for full details. Only label reads 'Costumes by Andrade' and has the original wearer's name and measurements.

Please note: due to the lamé stripes in the fabric, one should iron very carefully, on a low setting and either inside-out or with a pressing cloth. More importantly, the gelatin sequins will disintegrate if wet (á la Wicked Witch of the West) and melt if too close to heat. Please use caution while wearing!
