Jody Harris played guitar in the Contortions (among others), and Robert Quine is well known for his work with Richard Hell, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Matthew Sweet, etc. Recorded in Quine's apartment, Escape sees the two engaging in guitar duels over a minimal synth drum machine patter, combining guitar hysterics with a kind of Suicide like hum.
