Although no longer called "Allardice," Glendronach 18 Year Single Malt is still very much the same.  Fully matured in Spanish Oak ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, the whisky is bottled without any color added at 92 proof.  The nose offers scents of raisin, chocolate, brown sugar, red fruit and morello cherry.  On the palate, stewed fruits and allspice combine with chocolate, walnut, orange, and toasted oak.  The lengthy finish features treacle, date, and maple. A rich, intense, dark whisky sure to please Sherry lovers.
