20118 Vintage
Moroccan Tribal Rug with Postmodern Bauhaus Style 06’00 x 10’07. This hand knotted wool vintage Berber
Moroccan area rug with Bauhaus style features a two-part design. The end with
fringe features three rows of stacked diamonds separated by thin vertical rods.
The rods are flanked by ziggurats reaching toward the stacked lozenges. The
other end of the Moroccan rug showcases an all-over diamond lattice pattern
composed of lines that criss-cross in an organic manner, creating a lozenge
trellis, each filled with symbolic Berber Tribe motifs. Though deceptively
simple, this tribal pattern is steeped in Moroccan tradition. The tribal
symbols of diamonds, lozenges, X-shapes and cross motifs, all of which
typically symbolize womanhood, fertility, protection and blessings, come
together into a network that is both meaningful and culturally significant.
Perfect for adding organic tactile sensations to a bedroom, family room, living
room, game room, playroom, nursery, studio, study, loft, man cave or theatre
room. Well-suited for a wide range of interior styles: Contemporary,
Postmodern, Memphis Design, Bauhaus, Organic Modern, Nomadic, Ethnic,
Primitive, Tribal, Art Moderne, Abstract Expressionism, Mid-Century Modern,
boho chic, African, Bohemian, Eclectic, Modern, Urban, and Loft. Rendered in
variegated shades of ruby red, scarlet, crimson, ink blue, navy blue, amber,
gold, olive, beige, orange, tan, and pistachio. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool. Made
in Morocco. Berber Tribes of Morocco. Measures: 06'00 x 10'07.
