Bacardi was founded in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó in Santiago de Cuba. Using only three core ingredients, molasses from the best sugarcane, a unique strain of yeast, and local spring water, he created a smooth light-bodied spirit.

Tasting notes: On the palate, flavours of vanilla, oak, caramel, spices, and chocolate are followed by coconut, almond, marzipan with fruity undertones of pineapple, bananas, and stoned fruits.

Suggested recipe: Bacardi Daiquiri. Ingredients: 50ml Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum, 25ml lime juice, 2 tsp extra fine sugar, cubed and crushed ice, mint leaf. Instructions: Add sugar and lime juice into a cocktail shaker and stir until sugar dissolves. Add Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum and fill shaker half with cubed ice and half with crushed ice. Shake until chilled, strain into a chilled coupette, garnish with mint leaf.
